The Entrepreneurial Skills Pass (ESP) is an international qualification that certifies students, who have had a real entrepreneurship experience, have gained the necessary knowledge, skills and competences to start a business, to be successfully employed and to face practical challenges by deriving from their theoretical know-how.
ESP includes a full-year in-school mini-company experience in the scope of the Company Programme of Young Enterprise Switzerland; a self-assessment of entrepreneurial competences; an examination of business, economic and financial knowledge and the possibility to access further opportunities offered by small and large businesses, top higher institutions and international organisations across Europe.
The ESP bases on a uniform European syllabus whose content divides into four sub-areas :
- Basic understanding of organisations
- Stages, Requirements and legal framework conditions of entrepreneurial projects
- Path from the idea to the market
- Financial underpinnings and budgeting
The online self-assessments help the students to gauge their core skills and development of the latter throughout the project year. This tool is available for all participants of the Company Programme and is free of charge.
The final online exam along with the Entrepreneurial Skills Pass (ESP) certificate require the payment of a certification fee of CHF 50.
