The International Economics Olympiad 2020 is over! In spite of it being held digitally, the Olympiad was a complete success. The four finalists Aline Leutwiler, Ana Van der Ree, Dario Ackermann and Silvan Thut "return" from Bern with a strong performance. They were kindly allowed to set up together at the University of Bern and competed against 28 nations from all over the world in the fields of financial literacy, economics and business.
Despite online workshops, the four finalists put up a brave fight and prepared together for the International Economics Olympiad. The results speak for themselves: Together as a team they solved the business case on the topic of "Pricing a COVID-19 Vaccine" with above-average results and Silvan Thut brought home a bronze medal!
We would like to congratulate the four finalists for this outstanding achievement! A big thank you also to Science.Olympiad for the great cooperation.
