Simon Gerig, National Director of the Company Programme, accompanied the Swiss winning team MOREinga to the European Final Gen_E. He has written a report on his experience, which gives us an insight behind the scenes of the competition and the mini-company:
MOREinga will represent Switzerland at the European Final in Tallinn after the Aargau-based mini-company was named Company of the Year 2022 in June as part of the Company Programme. The European Final, Gen-E, is Europe's largest entrepreneurship event, with thousands of young people taking part. 41 mini-companies represent their respective countries, having previously been named the country's best mini-company in their home country.
Generation E stands for "Europeans who believe in the importance of Education, Entrepreneurship and Employment".
MOREinga wins the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF) Best Project Plan Award. In addition, the CEO of MOREinga, Florian Brenner, is honored with the JA Alumni Leadership Award. The awards are presented annually at the European finals of JA Europe's Company Programme.
For Florian and MOREinga, the European Final was an enriching event: "From the exchange and competition with young entrepreneurs from all over Europe, we take irreplaceable experiences and friendships for the future. We enjoyed the time in Tallinn to the fullest and thank YES for making such a fantastic event possible."
