Aacho at Europe's Largest Entrepreneurship Festival
Following their victory at the National Final of the Company Programme, Aacho from Alte Kantonsschule Aarau qualified for Gen-E, Europe's largest entrepreneurship festival. Organised by our umbrella organisation, JA Europe, and hosted this year by JA Latvia in Riga, the event brings together young entrepreneurs from across Europe each year. It provides participants with the opportunity to present their business ideas to an international audience, exchange experiences with other teams, and gain valuable international experience.
What does Aacho do?
Representing Switzerland, Aacho presented its business concept to an international jury. The student company develops tea blends made exclusively from ingredients sourced from the respective Swiss canton. Each product is complemented by a specially produced podcast about the corresponding canton, with a duration matching the tea's brewing time. In this way, Aacho combines regional products with engaging information about the region, offering a unique way to experience Switzerland's diversity.
For the team, the appearance in Riga was not their first international experience. Earlier this year, Aacho, together with TwinCase (Scuola Cantonale di Commercio), had the opportunity to participate in the JA Marketplace in Vienna after winning their respective regional competitions. There, they presented their company to an international audience, sold their products on site, and connected with teams from across Europe. These experiences provided a valuable foundation for their participation in Gen-E.
Many thanks to JA Europe and JA Latvia for organising the event, and congratulations to Aacho on successfully representing Switzerland at Gen-E!
