The Economics Olympiad enters the Second Round!

The second round of the Economics Olympiad brought together the top 40 participants from the first round for a one-day event focused on learning, problem-solving, and real-world economic thinking. Unlike a traditional exam environment, this event encouraged collaboration and active engagement.

Designed to broaden perspectives and highlight how economics applies to everyday life, the second round combined interactive elements with academic challenge. Through a mix of workshops, practical activities, and an exam, participants had the opportunity to further develop their analytical and creative skills.

This year’s event was organised in partnership with Iconomix, the educational program developed by the Swiss National Bank. Their contribution enabled participants to take part in hands-on learning sessions that complemented the exam and enriched the overall experience.

The 12 participants with the best results qualify for the National Final, where they will compete for the chance to represent Switzerland at the International Economics Olympiad.

A big thank you to Iconomix for their great collaboration and support in making this round possible.
