National Final of the 2025 Economics Olympiad: These young talents will represent Switzerland in Azerbaijan

The National Final of the 2025 Economics Olympiad took place today at Raiffeisen HQ in St. Gallen. The finalists spent a whole day tackling challenging tasks – including solving and presenting a business case and a 100-minute economics exam, which touched on topics like the new free trade agreement between Switzerland and India and the increasing regulation of government interventions without higher public spending.

Five students were particularly convincing and thus secured a place in the Swiss delegation. In July, they will represent Switzerland at the International Economics Olympiad in Azerbaijan.
