Volunteering Star Night 2026
Last Friday, YES celebrated the Volunteering Star Night at the Theater Rigiblick in Zurich, expressing its gratitude to its volunteers for their dedication and commitment.
The Volunteering Star Night is YES’s annual thank-you event for everyone who volunteers for YES. The evening began with an apéro riche, followed by a musical «Tribute to Johnny Cash». The YES team then looked back with guests on the highlights of the programme year.
The past programme year was the most successful in YES’s history: over 12,500 students took part in a YES programme, more than ever before. This was made possible by people from a wide range of industries and companies who support young people on their journey.
318 volunteers supported YES in approximately 510 Corporate Volunteering assignments during the past programme year, contributing their time and expertise. Through their commitment, they help young people develop essential skills for the future, recognise opportunities and look ahead with confidence.
A heartfelt thank you to all volunteers who support the next generation through their dedication.
Sound interesting?
As a volunteer, you visit a school class and share your professional experience with young people – for example, how a local council works, how to develop your own product, or what a job interview looks like. YES will train you beforehand and provide all the necessary materials. And who knows, perhaps we will be celebrating you at the next Volunteering Star Night!
